The Board of Trustees issued the following advice and resolutions for all Chapters in response to Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), a contagious, infectious disease causing a global pandemic1).
The Fraternity agreed to replace a number of policies and enact the constitutional amendments necessary to implement them. The existing Fraternal Life and Conduct policies (Fraternal Life and Conduct Policy, Hazing Guidelines, Alcohol and Substance Abuse Guidelines, Sexual Misconduct Guidelines) were replaced with the Risk Management Policy and the Code of Conduct. The Non-Functioning Chapter and Reinstatement Policy was replaced with the Chapter Oversight and Reinstatement Policy. A new nondiscrimination policy was implemented as Section XVI of the National Constitution as part of the constitutional changes.
The Board of Trustees issued a resolution to recognize ongoing and persistent use of police brutality against black individuals, and to recommend changes to promote equality and social justice within Mu Beta Psi. Full text of the resolution available at Board of Trustees Resolution - June 6, 2020

The National Organization agreed to replace the existing policies on sexual harassment, hazing, and substance abuse. In their place, the Fraternal Life and Conduct Policy policy has now been implemented.
